Ausnutria Nutrition Institute is a trading name of Ausnutria B.V. In this privacy statement the terms “we”, “us” or “Ausnutria Nutrition Institute” refer to Ausnutria B.V., with its registered office at Dokter van Deenweg 150, 8025 BM in Zwolle, the Netherlands.
Ausnutria Nutrition Institute is responsible for the processing of personal data as described in this privacy statement. Naturally we find it extremely important that the personal data you share with us is handled with care. In this privacy statement we explain how we do this. Whose personal data is processed?
We process the personal data of our website visitors. We receive the data directly from you when you visit our website, when you fill in particular details and when you seek contact with us via the contact form or via nutrition.institute@ausnutria.nl.
What personal data do we process?
Types of data that we may process are:
– Basic information such as your forename and surname, title, position and the country where you are located;
– Contact details such a your email address;
– Your IP address and statistical details of your use of our website;
– All other personal data that we receive from or about you and that we use for the purposes stated below, including your fields of interest within research and your area of expertise.
We do not always process all the above data. This depends on the type of relationship, the service in question and, if applicable, the permission you have given us.
Sensitive personal data that we process
Our website does not have the intention of collecting data on website visitors who are younger than 16 years, unless they have the permission of their parents or guardians. We cannot however verify whether a visitor is older than 16. We therefore advise parents to be involved in the online activities of their children, in order to prevent data on children from being collected without parental permission. If you believe that we have collected personal data of a minor without this permission, please contact us via nutrition.institute@ausnutria.nl. We will then delete this information.
Why is this data processed?
We process your personal data for the following reasons:
– Sending our newsletter:
If you have subscribed to our newsletter then we send it to the email address provided by you.
– Analysing your behaviour on our website:
We analyse your behaviour on our website in order to improve the website and to match the selection of materials and services to the behaviour of the website visitors.
– Answering your questions:
You can contact us by using the contact form on the website or by sending an email to nutrition.institute@ausnutria.nl. We retain personal messages for a maximum of 6 months.
– Data in your account:
The following data is stored in your personal account: your name, the country where you are located, your email address, your position and possibly (if you have stated these) your fields of interest, your area of expertise and how you have found us. If you no longer wish to be included in our files you can always request us to delete your data.
Retention period
We retain your personal data in conformity with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and specific mandatory retention periods. The data is not retained for longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the aims for which the data is collected and to comply with legal obligations.
How we protect personal data
We take the protection of your personal data seriously, and take appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised amendment. If you think that your data is nevertheless not properly protected or if there are indications of misuse, please contact us.
Sharing personal data with third parties
We do not sell your data to third parties. Depending on the nature of the interaction with you, we do make your personal data available to partners who work together with us, namely our: E- mail marketing partner, in order to send you our newsletters.
Transfer of personal data outside of the European Union
We only provide personal data to countries outside of the European Union when the European Commission has decided that the third country guarantees an appropriate level of protection, or an appropriate level of protection is guaranteed in another way.
Automated decision-making
We do not make decisions on issues that can have (significant) consequences for individuals on the basis of automated processing.
Cookies, or comparable technologies, that we use
A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone on your first visit to this website. We use cookies with a purely technical functionality. These ensure that the website works properly and that, for example, your preference settings are stored. These cookies are also used to allow the website to work correctly and to be able to optimise it.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a service by Google for collecting statistics of a website and displaying them in detail. The aim of this service is to give the website administrator a clear picture of, among other things, visitor flows, traffic sources and page views. The data that we collect in Google Analytics is aggregated in a privacy-friendly way. So-called ‘data sharing’ with Google is switched off. Deleting cookies
You can withdraw the permission you have given for placing and reading out cookies at any time. You can do this by configuring your browser in such a way that it does not accept any cookies and/or by deleting cookies that have already been placed in your browser. You must take into account that deleting cookies can result in particular components of the websites and/or applications not working, or not working properly.
Inspecting, amending or deleting data
You have the right to inspect, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw your permission for data processing or to make an objection against the processing of your personal data, and you have the right to data portability.
This means that you can submit a request to us send the personal data on you that we have in a computer file to you or to another organisation specified by you. You can send a request for inspection, correction, deletion or transfer of your personal data, or a request for withdrawal of your permission or an objection against the processing of your personal data by using our contact form. To be sure that the request for inspection has been made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your proof of identity together with your request. In this copy please black out your passport photo, the MRZ (machine readable zone; the strip with numbers at the bottom of your passport), the passport number and your personal public service number (burgerservicenummer – BSN) in order to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as soon as possible, and no later than within four weeks. We would also like to point out that you have the possibility of submitting a complaint to the national regulatory body, the Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
Amendments to this privacy statement
We may amend this privacy statement from time to time. Amendments will be published on our website. It is therefore advisable to regularly consult this privacy statement in order to remain informed of amendments.
